A look and learn seminar will happen this March 18, 2009 a Wednesday at Gaisano South Citimall Illustre Davao City from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is another venue for all the players in the beauty industry to showcase their talents and upgrade their skills in their individual field of expertise.

An international master hair designer will grace us with his presence during this event and he is no other than MR. HILBERT NG.

A wholistic day i may say for “us” who are part of the beauty industry. Seminar for Hair Rebonding, Hair Coloring & Hair Treatment in the morning by no other than Mr. Roy Marquez, the Senior Artistic Director of Mondes Hair Salon Academie. New techniques that are very useful for hairdressers and salon owners were introduced. New products like the Botanique Spa detox, henna wax and rebonding set.

In the afternoon was the most awaited part which was the Hair & Make-up Competition & Fashion Show of the GBB Models.

Their were three (3) categories for the competition. Cut, Color & Style for Men; Cut, Color & Style for Ladies; & the Bridal Make-up. 14 competitors toke the challenge. They were given only 30 minutes for each categories. Our judges from Manila had a hard time choosing the winners for each categories because this year the turn out was GREAT they were really prepared.

We had 9 competitors and they cut an average of 70 persons each. A truly remarkable achievement. In that 4 long hours none of them stopped for rest or snacks. They were all focused on their goal of being named as the fastest hair cutter in the Philippines-GenSan cut.

Thank you to the participants who made it all the way WOW i salute you guys it was the longest 4 hours of you lives.

BE PART OF HISTORY

GUIDELINES:

• All models must have a full head of hair with no hair loss.

• Hair must be freshly washed and can be wet. ( The contestant may have helpers to do that. )

• At least a minimum length of 1 ½ inches can be cut to the models.

• Contestants can use scissors or thinning scissors but NOT Clippers.

• No Skin Head!

• The contestants does not have to blow dry the hair.

• 4 hours means a complete 4 hours including rest break. ( ex. If it starts 1:30pm it ends 5:30pm). Participants can take as many breaks as they want but the clock does not stop.

• Styling tools and products are allowed.

• No other person can style the model’s hair once it has been completed by the hairdresser.

• Organizer can assign judges with a background in hairdressing and will inspect the cut and see if it is a genuine haircut and all guidelines have been adhered to.

• Any haircut seemed unacceptable by the judges will not be counted in the final total nor can it be remarked.

Sixteen (16) hopefull candidates are buying for the title of this years HIYAS ng NDDU.

Eight guys and Eight girls. Sadly i don’t have their names but i promise to update this blog if i got hold of it.

Coronation night will be on February 11, 2009 at NDDU Gym.

All the candidates had their HYDRAMOIST TREATMENT since all of their hairs are dry the staff of ENVY ME SALON & SPA choose to do such treatment. The boys had their haircut done by GEORGE BISNAR a senior hairstylist.

This treatment puts back the oxygen in their hair that were lost with their constant exposure to sunlight, shampooing, hairstyle products such as gel and hair ironing.

At the end everyone of them are satisfied of the services they had.

BEAUTY CASTLE? your personal TOUR into BEAUTY at it’s every sense.

I will  talk about FASHION, BEAUTY & CONFIDENCE  because FASHION + BEAUTY + CONFIDENCE = PERFECTION.

I will be updating you with the latest beauty  trends and services that your favorite salons will offer. And also a glimpse on the different kinds of products used by the salons. We will educate you of the correct procedures and processes of different services.

This blog will also be my personal journal. A journey to a life full of beauty, travels, adventures and some misadventures also.
